Hello, I’m Gemma.

I’m a wedding photographer based in the Cotswolds. In my former life I was a Solicitor specialising in criminal defence. Not quite as whimsical or romantic as being a wedding photographer but still good training ground for people-watching. This was when I met my husband (another Solicitor, not a criminal!) and, as I like to tell the story, he pursued me for over a year (his version differs marginally…but what are details between loved ones anyway?!) Needless to say, I fell head over heels and the rest is history. We now live in the beautiful Cotswolds with our son, two dogs, 6 chickens and an ever-growing shoal of goldfish, courtesy of my 4 year-old. Convincing my husband that we could definitely take on a few more pets is a work in progress…

I get hooked on a good love story and capturing the moments that define your special bond is what makes my job one of the best.

I see the silence, the nerves, the anticipation, the hilarity, the imperfect speeches, the tie-around-head dancing, the ridiculously large fascinators, the happy tears, the secret smiles, the hand squeezes, the ugly crying and the stolen moments of joy between Bride and Groom. As a documentary style photographer, I capture all the emotions.
