A Christmas Wedding in a Georgian Manor House
This was a dream of a wedding. Not only was it a Christmas Wedding but it was also a black tie love affair at the magnificent Crowcombe Court in Somerset. This Georgian beauty was the perfect romantic backdrop for A & T. If you’re looking for a majestic wedding venue with beautiful decor then look no further. The light floods into the Great Hall making it a dream to photograph and the Vaulted Undercroft is the perfect spot for dancing.
Now, what makes this wedding a little bit extra special was the fact that I was Maid of Honour! First time (and probably last time!) that I had the privilege. I wasn’t the official photographer – I just took a few sneaky photos here and there because it was too beautiful not to capture. The Bridal Party were in a fabulous suite and the Groom’s Room was equally as impressive. I ventured into the Groom’s Room to capture a few champagne-popping and bow-tie-straightening shots. Trying to operate as the inconspicuous photographer whilst donning my silky red Bride Squad pyjamas was a challenge but I managed to get a few good shots of the boys in bow ties!

I then returned to the Bridal suite to snap some preparation and detail shots. The Bride had a photo bouquet charm of her Grandfather and Grandmother. These details are some of the most important so please do tell your photographer about them.

The Bride looked absolutely gorgeous but she always does (I’m not biased just because she is my bestie) but her official wedding photographer has done her justice and I’m not one to steal the limelight! But let me tell you about The Flower Girl and Page Boy who stole the show. After an M&S carpet picnic and a nappy change they had their “staff” dress them to the nines! F was as cute as buttons and H was one of the most handsome chaps in the room! No tears or tantrums over the lacey tights or braces. Just impeccably dressed with behaviour to match.

It was a truly magical day and I’m delighted for A&T.
